The Flooring America store at 391
Highland Ave in Iowa City had 12,000 Sq Ft of
Polystyrene Foam roof damaged by hail. Chuck and Karen
Watts, owners of the business, had me work with the
Insurance company on getting it back in shape.
The roof had to be power washed
first before any work could begin.
All the slits had to be caulked
with large tubes of roofing caulk that self-leveled
itself.
Once the slits were filled and all
necessary repairs were made the roof was coated twice
with Astec's 2000 Finish Coat.
Even the front awning was included
in the insurance companies scope of work.
.A finished product would now give
them a water tight roof with energy savings and a 10
year material & labor warranty.
