Shop Exterior Needing a Facelift

Before photo of an old shop's front exterior in need of care.

Chuck and Karen Watts -- the owners of Flooring America, wanted to give the exterior of the store a real facelift.

Old Colors and Flaking Paint Problems

Photo of the exterior jobsite safely masked and tarped off. Photo of the small crew working on painting the overhang.

While nice at first, the blue trim and the white body colors were feeling a bit stale after a number of years.

Most of the overhang in the front of the building, especially the underside, had to be sanded due to rust build-up and flaking paint.

Power Washing, Sanding and Super Paint for the Win

Beautiful after photo of the shop's revitalized exterior.

The paint job at 391 Highland Avenue, (Flooring America,) consisted of a power-wash with tri-sodium phosphate, then scrubbing and sanding all the rough and rusted areas, after which was coated with a rust inhibitive primer.

Most of the store was sprayed with latex exterior Super Paint by Sherwin Williams; the blue trim was brushed in last.
